Soup, made with homemade meat stock, is extraordinarily nourishing to the digestive lining. Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride (creator of the GAPS nutrition program) actually recommends drinking chicken broth with every meal, as it aids in the digestion and absorption of nutrients the body. I've had a hard time just drinking straight broth all the time.. so I end up just eating A LOT of soup! I love it! Soups have become my favorite meal because they are easy to prepare, full of flavor and nutrients, and easy to digest.
